I'm getting an IRiver h10 for Christmas. (had to tell my dad what I wanted so I know he ordered it off Amazon) I know a lot of people use the IRiver H100 and 300, but has anyone had success using the h10? Also, I'm planning on installing the rockbox firmware when I get the product. Does that work as well with the h10 as it does with the other models? Thanks in advance!
I got an iriver h10 and was never really able to get it working to my satisfaction. It was the 20gig model. At the time that I bought it about 5 or 6 months ago rockbox was not working on it. I finally stopped trying to figure it out and gave it to my mother. I just ended up getting the new 80 gig Ipod and so far it works fine for me.
I use an H10 5 gig and without rockbox find it quite accessible. I did try rockbox on it and for some reason I couldn't get the actual files to play. I could navigate the menu and hear the spellings of the file names but the files wouldn't play.
